TYPICAL TMC SYSTEM USING A PICK-OFF COIL TO DETECT A SHIPS MAGNECTIC COMPASS - MD/TMC

A typical Transmitting Magnetic Compass system (TMC) Which uses the MARINE DATA MD52A Compass-Sensing Magnetic Fluxgate Coil to detect Magnetic Heading from an existing shipboard magnetic compass installation

 


A TMC comprises of two main components, (1) the sensing coil (MD52A/T) and (2) the the sensing coil processor (MD97/8). these two components will give NMEA(0183) Data to be used with Repeaters, Heading Monitor (MD76/8), ships Autopilot etc...
