ACTIVE DETECTOR JUNCTION BOX - MD97/8
The nucleus of any ships TMC system. Accepting electromagnetic sensor information to transmit NMEA (0183) or FURUNO output Data.
The MD97/8 can provide standby magnetic heading in place of the gyro compass. Used in conjunction with the MD93/8, variation & deviation correction can be achieved to give true heading. The NMEA output can be used to drive a single NMEA load or if fed through the MD94/8 can feed up to 6 NMEA loads for example Heading repeater/s, Autopilot, Off Course Alarm (MD76/8) or any other NMEA input Interface.
